A biographical comedy film that inspired many musicians and singers in the 70s-90s with the ability and musical talent of Yankovic (Alfred Matthew Yankovic), who started out as a comedian and musician and was accepted into recordings for TV shows in the past, directed by Eric Appel.
Yankovic (Daniel Radcliffe) began recording parody songs while in college and with a handful of his bands, managed to produce a number of cover songs, which were then pitched to major record labels whose artists they were signed to. Yankovic and his bandmates’ songs quickly spread through the radio and over a hundred recordings were made.
His success is compounded by an affair with his girlfriend, Madonna (Evan Rachel Wood), which causes him to miss a potential tour. Several months later, Yankovic is fired from his old record label and his band, before he can write new songs and regain the attention of several record labels.
His work eventually became widely recognized and earned him five Grammy Awards and 11 nominations, four gold and six platinum records in the United States, and he continues to produce in his studio and releases some of his music on YouTube.
